China is afraid of Indian competition in manufacturing. China is a manufacturing based economy with growing competition from India, western investors are turning towards India. China and India have border issues too. If India rises then its a threat to china’s ambition of becoming Asian equivalent of USA in western world.

I dont know if they are. If I were China, I would be just mildly concerned, not remotely worried. I would be concerned because with India’s rise, my geopolitical position faces a more credible challenger. My investments in Pakistan add risk. My clout on ASEAN decreases. Having a comparable challenger right next door aint the most favourable option.
They wont be worried, they achieved what India wants to. A strong economy next door opens more peaceful options than violent ones. USA & Canada anyone? No one is more prosperity minded than China on this day. They are emerging as a champion of globalization and free trade when the USA is closing its doors.

Yes.China is afraid of India. Because,
China is the largest manufacturing centre in the world.
Many western companies have manufacturing plants in China.
If not, then they bought parts of products from China
Even though many companies may not want to invest in China, they invest in China because they do not have any other option (like investing in any other country with facilities as China).
Often, China has been accused of using unethical and unfavorable policies like devaluing its currency by will, inferior quality of products.
from the last 3 years, the trend of Chinese dominance is decreasing due to weak growth and the world now has a better alternative i.e. INDIA.(reasons for such opportunity is LPG reforms occurred in India in 90s
India having all the ingredients for huge growth like 60% of the population is below 30 years, 1 million people are entering Indian workforce every month and cheap labour.
Though, there are concerns of infrastructure deficit but it is being resolved by huge infrastructure development projects, construction of roads and railways, etc.
Moreover, India is a democratic country which ensures political stability and fare and equal policies for every foreign company.
